FRIED BATTERED MUSHROOMS
(Het Nang Fa Thot)
 
10 oyster mushrooms
1c. whole wheat pastry flour
1c. water
2c. safflower oil
chili sauce (available in Oriental markets)

 

Rinse mushrooms and drain well. Mix the flour and water. Heat the oil in a wok. Dip the mushrooms in the batter and fry until golden brown. Remove from the oil and drain on absorbent paper. Serve with chili sauce.
